Oh, Hi there

Well hello, I just found my blog again so I thought that I would try to start posting again. 80% chance of rain today so isn't doesn't look like it will be a day on the lake.

Weather

Its been a very dry summer and the lake is down about six feet. There is no water under our dock so we've taken the boat out and it now sits in the driveway with a cover on it(very depressing). I miss going down to the dock and jumping into the boat and hitting the lake on Saturday and Sundays mornings.

My first dogwood

Four years ago our next door neighbor gave us a small dogwood tree. This spring--after surviving flooding rains, an indiscriminate weed eater and hot summers with infrequent watering--our dogwood bloomed!

Looking forward to many more years with our 'Survivor' dogwood....

Valentine's Day

What a special day! We've never been gift givers and never chose to join the confusion of the Valentine dinner rush. We've sat at home and enjoyed a lazy dinner, however unspectacular that dinner might be!

Hello Cibo Vino in Winnsboro! This year our favorite Italian restaurant offered a Valentine's special we couldn't refuse. A special rose, a wonderful Fess Parker wine received as a birthday present, amazing food and of course wonderful company.


Looking good! Thinking we'll consider a venture out next Valentine's.......

Well I decided it is finally time for Sheryl and I to join the blogging world, so here we are. Sheryl hasn't seen any of this yet so once I show her how to get in here I'm sure that she will take off like a rocket.
